4 ways to use: active vitamin d serum-oil

As a DGSkincare staff member, I often receive so many products that I don’t know what to try first! (I know — cry me a river.) It takes about four weeks for most skincare products to see if it’s making a true difference in your skin, so I try to avoid excessive mixing and matching. But some of our formulas are truly benefit chameleons: if I don’t have room in my regimen for a serum, I can repurpose it as another skincare staple. Today’s powerhouse product is Active Vitamin D Serum-Oil. While I’ve already talked about Vitamin D’s benefits as an ingredient, you may be missing out on other ways to use the serum. Here are my favorite four off-label application tips:

1)    Hair treatment for flyaways, split ends, breakage, and frizz

Have troublesome tresses? Load a few drops of Active Vitamin D Serum-Oil onto your fingertips and smooth through your hair as needed.

2)    Cuticle oil

Whether you’re doing your own mani/pedi or picking nervously at your nails, your cuticles will drink up the oil, resulting in happier, healthier-looking hands.

3)    Leg sheen

When warmer weather comes back this way (or you’re lucky to live in a warmer clime), try moisturizing your legs with this product – it’ll leave them soft and silky with a sexy sheen.

4)    Booboo remedy

Your mileage may vary on this one…but when I accidentally burn my ear with a curling iron or discover blisters from a gorgeous new pair of pumps, I’ll slick this stuff on the injury. I honestly find that the area looks better and healthy again sooner than if I hadn’t applied Active Vitamin D Serum-Oil – but like I said, you may have a different result than I would.

Have you tried these different ways to use Active Vitamin D Serum-Oil? What’s your favorite off-label use for a product?
