We’re pretty transparent about what ingredients we use here at Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare™, but just because I know what’s in our products doesn’t mean I know what they all do! I figured that I’m not alone on this — I tend to focus on immediate results of a product than think about the science behind how it works. Because of this, I decided to start this feature on the blog – Ingredient Corner! If you have a particular ingredient you’d like to know more about, comment and I’ll see what I can do. So without further ado…Licorice!
This has been a very busy week at Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare™ and I wanted to give you guys the inside scoop on two points of pride for us. First off, Dr. Gross opened his new practice, 900 5th Dermatology, in NYC this week! I was one of the lucky few to be able to visit and, let me just tell you, the place is beyond. Fab. Sure, we at the corporate office all love a new product when it launches, but this one is particularly special. I feel like everything out there – and I don’t just mean skincare – claims that everyone can use it or it looks good on anyone. You know what happens when I try a product that’s one-size-fits-all? I end up hating it. Whether it’s foundation that automatically matches your skintone (too dark!), hair oils that are for all textures (too greasy!) and everything in between, I’m often dissatisfied with something that I, along with everyone else, am supposed to be able to use.
But Alpha Beta® Daily Glow Moisture is different. I swear! Keep reading…
Premature skin aging is something that’s started to keep me up at night. Maybe it’s working here, but I subject my skin to way more scrutiny than I used to. My biggest concern? My eye area. I make tons of ridiculous facial expressions, squint because my vision isn’t that great, and tug at the corners of my eyes when applying eyeliner (not to mention stay up too late too often).
I can be super forgetful about applying skincare products – which is why the ease and convenience of Alpha Beta® is so great for me — but I never forget to smooth Ferulic + Retinol Triple Correction Eye Serum around my whole eye, including eyelids, before I go to bed. It targets surface-level imperfections (such as crepiness and uneven texture), and deeper issues, like fine lines and wrinkles, all wrapped up in one product. Best part? It’s ophthalmologist-approved, so it’s safe for me, a contact lens-wearer, to use. It’s not irritating at all, which was one of my biggest concerns before starting a retinol product, and it even helps my eyeshadow last longer.
Not convinced yet? Check out these study results. In an independent consumer study:
- 93% of participants agreed that the fine lines around their eye area were diminished after three weeks of use.
- 92.9% of participants noticed an improvement in texture around their eye area in just two weeks.
- 84.6% of participants said that the product appeared to brighten their entire eye area, creating a more youthful-looking appearance after three weeks of use.
What are your eye-area concerns? Have you tried Ferulic + Retinol Triple Correction Eye Serum?
While I’m a traditional kind of gal and make New Year’s resolutions, I’ve realized that taking a more avant-garde approach helps me stick to my oaths. Can you blame me? After all, it’s a fact that most people give up on their rezzies within six weeks, so I try to select reasonably attainable goals. (You may call this “cheating,” but I call it “planning for success.”) This year I’ve been all about healthier skin.
Maybe it’s a copout – after all, this idea wasn’t hard to come up with considering I work at DG Skincare, but as Dr. Gross would tell you, there’s more to beautiful skin than powerfully effective products! I’ve mostly stuck to these goals (granted, I’ve had a few slips…) and they’re definitely doable. Meaning I give you full license to ditch twice-daily Pilates in exchange for one of these. Check them out!
